Paranormal 101: Haunted Wisconsin
In this monthly segment, I will provide a list of books I think anyone interested in folklore, ghost stories, the unusual & the paranormal would enjoy. Most of these can be found on Amazon.com (often at discounted rates) or at your local library. Each list of books will be arranged by topic and will be accompanied by a short description highlighting some themes and commonalities. Enjoy!

Our neighbor to the north has some of the most interesting ghost stories and legends in the Midwest. From the Beast of Bray Road, to Bloody Bridge Bridge, to the Devil’s Punch Bowl, Wisconsin more than holds its own against the best and scariest tales Illinois has to offer. If you live within a few hour’s drive, I highly recommend visiting some of the places described in the books listed above. While you’re there, make sure to sample some of the local beer and cheese – who knows what spirit might happen to sit down next to you!
